Benefit Event: Harlem Ambassadors Tour to be Held Today

From the Washington Daily News

Hoops and hijinks are coming to Washington today when our very own local challengers, the First Responders Dream Team, take on the Harlem Ambassadors in a comedy basketball show the whole family will enjoy. This first-time event will start at 6 p.m. at Washington High School Gym; doors open at 5:15 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit The Beaufort County Police Activities League (BC PAL) and The Rotary Club and will be used to fund Beaufort County community projects and First Responder Programs.

The Harlem Ambassadors have performed more than 2,500 professional comedy basketball games as fundraising and community entertainment events for non-profit organizations, the U.S. military and community service groups since 1998.

These events have helped raise over $9 million for communities in 50 states and 20 countries including Pearl Harbor, Bosnia, Kosovo, Sarejevo, Korea, Japan, the Marshall Islands, Mexico, Germany, England and Canada. Tickets are $6 at the door.

The Beaufort County Police Activities League (BCPAL) is now the Inner Banks STEM Center.
