Criteria for Being Considered for a Financial Needs-Based Scholarship:
Our nonprofit is committed to expanding access to high-quality STEM education. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. A limited number of both partial and full scholarships are available and awarded on a competitive, needs-based basis.
Families requesting scholarship consideration must complete a brief Financial Needs Assessment Checklist. The form will be emailed to the address listed on the application. The Scholarship information is kept confidential and reviewed by our Scholarship Review Committee. An objective scoring process is used to ensure fairness and transparency.
Every two-weeks our Scholarship Review Committee will review the Financial Needs Assessment Forms that have been submitted and a numerical score assigned to that form/student based on the information submitted. Only a limited number of scholarships are available. The Committee will select the students with the highest score for the full and partial scholarships.Â
Notification: The parent will be advised by email within one week of the scheduled committee meeting if their child has received the requested scholarship.
Waiting List: A Waiting List will be established once the available number of scholarships have been awarded. The parent will be advised if a scholarship becomes available as a result of someone dropping out. Students with the highest score will be selected from the Waiting List.
